Just wanted to let you know that I am home from the hospital, and getting stronger each day. Have a bleeding ulcer, that has a large mass on top of the ulcer. They did a biopsy on the mass, the mass crumbled, but the biopsy showed no cancer at that time. I lost so much blood, they gave me 6 units of blood. I go to the hospital as an outpatient in 2 weeks to get another biopsy, the Dr. is hoping the mass hardens so we can get a larger piece of it to have it checked. If no cancer shows up in the next biopsy, they will just keep a close watch on my blood count, and any changes that occur. If something does show up, they will remove the mass at a later time.
I want to thank all the folks that came to visit me in the hospital, all the cards, the phone calls, and those that cleaned my house, my yard, shopped and everything else that was done for me. I can never thank you all enough. Until I get a clean bill of health, please keep me in your prayers.
Love,
Bonnie
Candy Scott 603 from Mn. I just found the newsletter and have enjoyed it very much and would sure hate to see it stop. I got to know so many more people last year after buying our place , so have recognized many people and got very sad to hear of the ones leaving the park or leaving for health reasons. I liked all the updates and I even enjoyed hearing about all the updates in the Mission McAllen area.
Enjoy the newsletter don't know everyone but maybe when I meet them in park will put it together. Especially like to hear how the summer is down there. Its been a cool summer in MN. But last couple of weeks just beautiful and the sun sets on the lake are wonderful. We spent 3 weeks in Florida emptying Larry's Moms house she passed away in May . I am not good in humidity and heat but we managed .Than back to MN. and I think close to a record 54 degrees on July 17. Decided perfect day to take wallpaper off .Ha! Looking forward to seeing everyone in November.

We finally got some summer weather last week. We have not needed the air conditioner as it has been cool all spring and summer. The rains have come just when needed and the crops on NW Iowa look good. We took in the Clay County Fair . There were 70,000 people there the day we went. Lots of people watching. We are waiting for the birth of our first great grandchild, so our departure date for Texas is up in the air. Hope she gets here a little early --before the snow!!! Looking forward to seeing friends and making more new ones.
DeLaFuente at Mo. 11D at Bentsen Grove . We want you to keep the summer news letters coming just the way you have been. Your doing great. We will be back just after Thanksgiving if not before. If my daughter talks us into staying for Thanksgiving we will leave the following Monday. See you soon. JoAnn & Ricardo
May the wind be always at your back
and the light of God your guide.

Hi Barb, Harv and I enjoy the News Letter immensely! By all means keep it going. Year round would be nice too, if you can handle it. So nice to keep up with what's going on.
We are going on a cruise to the Panama Canal on Oct 3rd to the 17th. We are going with Harv's son Bob and daughter-in-law Beth. Really looking forward to it. Then on the 30th of Oct, we'll start our trek down to Texas. Time is just flying by. Been keeping busy with doctors, dentists, eye doctors, etc. etc. etc. Will be a relief to get on the road I think.
Bob and I really appreciate the monthly newsletters even though we haven't been at BG for going on 4 years. We enjoy reading about what is happening in the park and still recognize lots of names. Please keep up the newsletter and getting it year round would be great Bob & Jo Harry (former Lot 313)
Duane Stephens W212 Il. On Wednesday, September 2nd. Jean
Clark W 213 and I left her home in Geneseo, Il. in her van ( loaded with furniture ) to visit her son Ken in Lynchburg, Va. Took a couple of days to get there, unloaded the van, cut some trees Ken needed help with and helped with a few other odd jobs.
Left the following Tuesday in the rain. Stopped in Beverly, Ohio to see Duane Pool ( former 629 ) and Jean Needs ( former 635 ), ate ( of course ) and played cards till after dark.
Left Thursday morning for Illinois. Got home safe and sound after nearly 2000 miles, saw 4 wrecks along the way which was unusual but suppose it was because of the holiday weekend. Sure are a lot of steep hills in that part of the country, a lot different than the flatlands of Illinois.
Hi everyone,
This is probably the last note you'll get about our summer travels. We are
moving south for warmth and will be back in Nokomis around Oct. 25th after some time in Tallahassee. Since we aren't doing much sightseeing the
pictures will be few and activities humdrum. You can keep checking our
website and pictures at your leisure.
Hope you're all enjoying a beautiful autumn.

Hi, everyone. John and I left on Sept 5th, for Michigan. Son Phil, from Flint picked us up at the airport in Detroit. we spent Saturday night with them, went to church with them on Sunday, then they drove us to Whitehall, where we stayed for the time we were in Mich. Main reason for that was so that John could receive his dialysis treatments at the same place every time. Much safer that way.
On the 12th, son, Bruce and his wife Barb, took us to Ann Arbor, where our daughter Dorothy and her family live. there was a big reception there for our Grandson Luke and his bride Hazel. They were married in Scotland, where Hazel has been living. Dorothy and family went over for the wedding. All the male participants wore kilts! The only exception was Hazel's father. He and his wife were there from Germany. Her father walked her down the aisle, but he wore a conventional suit.
We may have pictures to show later on. we returned on Sept 29th. Exhausted. We didn't even unpack when we got home. We took naps. It was a fun time. I'll write more later.
Duane and Jackie Ryun, for health reasons, have sold their unit at F14 and are moving back north to Wisconsin. All the bridge players in the park the 2nd of October got together for a final game of bridge with them and to say good-bye. They will be missed!
This is to let you know that Wanda Green passed away this morning at 2 A.M. (Oct.3) Peggy Philbrook Lot 707
