Her son Dave, called to say his mother had passed away this week at age 91.
She was a former member of the BG Gals, and was from Rice Lake,WI
To All my Bentsen Grove Friends
I
had a conversation with Ron Ayres Friday, May 22, 2009 and he asked
me to pass on the following information. Two weeks ago the Country
Corral RV Park down the road from us had several break in robberies.
Last weekend Green Gate just south of us had several break in
robberies at around 2 in the morning.
He asked that we all keep an eye out for anything suspicious like strange vehicles or noises at night. If you see or hear anything out of the ordinary follow the instructions below. You might want to print this out and put it next to your phone like I have. Also I have started putting my car alarm keys right next to my bed at night.
Together we can keep our park safe.
Please pass this on to anyone who lives here!
Thanks,
Ron Cass
If you SEE or HEAR Something Suspicious at Night
1 Set off your Car Panic Alarm.
2 Call the Ben. Grove Night Security 227-6407.
3 Call the County Sheriff 383-8114.
4 If you don't get a call back from Night Security then call the Bentsen Grove Manager Ron Ayres 227-4065.
News is pretty slow coming in. I know that everyone has “kicked back” and is enjoying the wonderful summer-like weather wherever they are.
We had a thunderstorm last night and it was really welcomed. We are due to have more rain in the next couple of days. That is hard to believe with the sun shining so brightly at the moment, and a temperature of 83 degrees.
George Ewers (formerly E 7), has been visiting in the park for the past week from his new residence in Iowa. He celebrated his birthday along with Mary Gronlund and Marlin Johnson.
The folks here are having a good time playing some form of cards every night. They also play card bingo two nights a week. Tuesday mornings are reserved for coffee and donuts and a nice get-together. The computer club meets one morning a month and they have set up a couple of computers so that all of the residents can have the opportunity of sending and receiving e-mail.
I’ve been to the new Wal-Mart in Pinitas a couple of times and I like it very much. The aisles are wide – plenty of room to maneuver my cart around the store. And the fresh produce has been wonderful. However I have not seen the cuts of beef that I prefer.
Life is good. Wish you were here.
