From Wilma Mueller, A47 - The latest improvement here at the park is being done in the annex. The ceilings are being lowered & a new air-conditioner is being added. This will also have a duct to the library. With the new lighting the quilters & crafts will be able to see much better. I finally got to the new outlet mall, but was disappointed in it. Wonder how many of our winter Texans went this fall. There is so much building going on along the Exp now. Looks like there will be plenty of places to shop when you all get back. I'm getting a list of some of the stores. Hope to have more soon.

From Claude and Gladys Wood C17 (Iowa): We're leaving the park in the morning (May 22) and stopping in Dallas for our grandson's graduation. Then about Memorial Day we head up to Iowa.

From Doris Hott #D16.  I got home April 3rd. I was looking forward to going to church Good Friday and Easter. But a lot of snow was dumped on our area and I missed both services. Yep, I got snowed in. I live on a hill 325ft. from the road and up a hill. By Tues. I got a break and went to town and took care of car license and groceries. Then I got snowed in again for a couple more days. We've had lots of rain since and some really nice weather and some lousy too. Today is supposed to be in the 80's. A couple of days ago it frosted at night. Our weather is very changeable as you can see. But it beats getting cooked in extreme heat. I am hoping to be able to set my plants out soon and trust the frost is over.

I am busy knitting for Guideposts Kids. I'm on #3. I keep busy and enjoy being home. Now I'd better get out in the flower beds and move some plants that are where they don't belong.     Doris

From Wilma Mueller, A47 - Well we finally got a little rain. There wasn't much, but every drop soaked in the ground. Makes everything smell so good. We have been playing cards although people are thinning out. We do a lot of eating - celebrated 3 birthdays. Jim Elliott, W186, Marvin Nuttall, A51, & last but not least Charlene Mapes, 614. There is going to be a Memorial Day pot luck, there is always a big turnout for that. Pat Craig, W33 had cataract surgery today May 22, & Joy Gerstner, D12 will have surgery tomorrow & is expected to be in the hospital for 2 or 3 days. Her son is here to take care of her. Betty Wennerdahl, 753, is in intensive care at McAllen hospital. She is having blood pressure problems & I talked to her son & he said she is feeling better. Lets hope & pray things go well for everyone who is ill. I talked to Jackie & she said her & Paul were having a great time. Hope they continue to be able to travel. Barbara Goff is still having trouble getting news from you guys. If there is going to be a newsletter she NEEDS news. There is something going on in everyone's lives. Take care of yourselves

We left the resort April 16,went to visit our brother at Sringdale, AR for a few days then on to Omaha, NE to visit with Hattie's son and extended family. We stayed with them for three days and arrived back in WI a week later. We had a splendid trip, however, the cold weather was a shock compared to the nice pleasant condition when we left Mission. Glenn and Darlene Mathias E31, returned to WI after the first week in May. All of us are fine. Dan Mathias W77
