Last week John Abbott introduced Mozilla Firefox to us and showed many of the unique features it has. You can download the new Firefox 1.0 from: http://www.mozilla.org/ or there are several copies on CD floating around among the members for a quick installation. Installing from CD it takes only a few minutes and it is ready to run. On November 22, John will demonstrate Open Office 1.1.3 available from: http://www.openoffice.org/ or the CD’s floating among members. The above 2 programs are Open Source meaning they are of no cost to download, register or use. Want to learn what open source is all about. Do a Google
on “open source” or “open source for windows”. |
